I recently did an evaluation of the Meraki System Manager, limited to a sampling of Windows desktops and servers at a few nearby locations, and it failed miserably.
Several of its feature didn't work or were labeled, "preview", "beta" or "Use at your own risk." At one point the entire database of client devices simply disappeared for no reason. Since it was in their cloud, I had no way to troubleshoot or roll back the settings. Meraki tech support took days to address the problem.
It might work somewhat better on smartphones but I decided not to risk it. If I ever revisit the service, it would be strictly for passive "monitoring" purposes. I don't think I could trust it for rolling out applications or other "control" purposes.
