Our public library has recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Android tablet for use by library patrons. We are trying to determine what is the best way to set it up for their use. Patrons range from senior adults to young children.
We are would like to leave it as open as possible but be able to prevent the public from changing passwords, downloads apps and generally changing things we cannot fix.
Has anyone attempted this with a tablet or have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
We will lock the tablet to a rolling table that can be used by any patron for news, games, and education anywhere in the library.
We hope that by making it easier to use and access library patrons will be more aware of digital resources.
